Peter Adams

Peter has been employed at Norm Hyatt Locksmith for 40 years. He specialises in Auotmotive locksmithing including transponder keys and European cars. Peter is also our resident Safe expert and enjoys the challenge of opening and servicing difficult or high security safes. Peter also has 39 years experience saw doctoring.

Kevin Edwards

Kevin has been employed at Norm Hyatt Locksmith for over 38 years. He specialises in Engraving and Domestic Locksmith work. He has the neatest hand engraving in Townsville and enjoys challenging engraving jobs.

Nathan McConochie

Nathan is one of our bright young locksmiths. He has been with us since 2003 and is very accomplished in all aspects of locksmithing. He has a keen interest in motorsport and automotive.

Jamie Hyatt

Jamie is one of our female locksmiths. She has been employed here since 2007 but grew up learning the trade from the family business. She is a qualified Master Locksmith gaining her qualifications in 2011. Jamie was runner up in Queensland Apprentice of the year and won the 2013 Australian Best Young Locksmith. Jamie also enjoys the creativity of our Engraving department.

Peter Walker

Peter is our resident Saw Doctor. He has been with Norm Hyatt's since 2006 and is a whiz on the saws. Peter is particularly good  on the guillotine's or printers knives and the TCT and Brobo saws. If you need something sharpened Peter is the man.

Trevor Hyatt

Trevor is the Manager at Norm Hyatt Locksmith. He grew up learning the trade in the family and has been working full time in the business since 1986. Trevor brings to the company many years experience including a trade as an electrician. At Sydney TAFE he was top of his class for Locksmith. Trevor's skill as both a locksmith and a manager resonates through the business building a family of staff in a family run business.

Natalie Mathison

Natalie is our friendly receptionist on the phone or the counter. She has been with us since 2012

Norm and Leila Hyatt

Norm and Leila founded the busines in Townsville in 1966.  After moving up from Victoria, where Norm also worked for his father as a Sawdoctor, they opened the family run business. This photo is taken in front of the Flinders Street shop in 1992.
